“It’s been wonderful. Oh, we were so excited because we pulled up yesterday and people just helped us. We were so afraid we were going to have to…bring it on our own, but everybody has been so nice, so helpful.” – Star Walton, Recycled Feed Bag Totes
“Oh, the volunteers make all the difference in the world…. If you need any help, somebody’s just around the corner.” – Nancy Highfill, Nancy’s Pottery
“There are volunteers all over the place. If I need to take a quick little break, they’re here to help me…. It’s just a really organized event, very well organized in every aspect.” – Lydia Lightfoot, Bella Green Jewelry in Kennesaw
Woo-hoo!! Thank you, Suwanee Day volunteers! We, literally, could not do it without you.
Each year Suwanee Day relies on the time, commitment, and hard work of volunteers both to plan our celebration of community in the months preceding September and to handle the many demands on the day of the festival. Volunteers may assist with hanging posters, vendor set-up and load-out, picking up trash, parade line-up, running errands, taking photos, and manning parking lots, to name just a few volunteer tasks. Clearly, vendors appreciate Suwanee Day volunteers, too, and frequently comment about the difference our volunteers make in their festival experience.
If you’d like to be part of the committee that plans Suwanee Day 2012, contact Events Manager Amy Doherty. Registration for day-of-festival volunteers will be available in the summer.
